Faith - Hope - Love Model explained:

Our desire is to answer the prayer of Jesus in John 17 and for the Church in Sonoma County, Santa Rosa to be of irresistible influence.

This picture of the train tracks exemplifies what we are wanting to do. As a prayer movement that is led by God to bring His people together. We want to answer the prayer of Jesus in John 17, that we would be united for the harvest of souls. Just as the tracks are leading somewhere specific, so are we as a body, praying strategically and TOGETHER. The three parts of the train track represent the relationship between FAITH, HOPE and LOVE. One side of the tracks being FAITH, the other being LOVE, and the ties between representing HOPE. We are wanting to run on these tracks and be balanced in each of the three areas.

Faith - (Prayer)

The Pastors Prayer and Ministry Alliance has been uniting together for the past 16-17 years as pastors and spiritual leaders in the city and to pray for the city and for one another. However,  they have realized that there are many in the body of Christ who do not share their same passion or depth of understanding in regards to prayer and, because of that, pastors are seeing the imbalance and are seeking to bring the body together. We want to reach our communities through strategic, united prayer.

For example:
Weekly - Every Wednesday the pastors meet together to pray.

Monthly - Every 1rst Friday of the month is the City Reach Prayer gathering, at which different churches from all over the County are invited to come and pray into city issues together. The church hosting the meeting receives specific prayer in regards to their vision for their individual body.

Quarterly - This is usually a concert of Prayer and/or Praise for outreach to the body of Christ (or things of that nature). These are to really draw others in. It may not be as deep as City Reach Prayer, but is to bring the body together in larger venues.

Annually - The Pastors Prayer summit which brings pastors and spiritual leaders together for 3-4 days to specifically pray, read the word of God and worship. There is no agenda, accept to pray and seek God.

Other prayer ministries include:

Sonoma County Intercessors - Those gathering to pray specifically for the protection, direction and empowering of God upon the spiritual leaders and blessing to be upon their families.

Business Leaders Prayer Forum - Those business leaders who own a business or are in a high level of management, gather to pray for the economy of our city and community. They are now doing prayer walks on location for various Christian businesses. Prayers for God to empower and wake-up the body of Christ in the business community.

LOVE - (Service)

Love is the outcome, the fruit of faith combined with hope that results in service. We need to serve together as one. For many years we have been praying about this aspect of love and serving, but have not really been strategically loving as God wants us to. We are wanting to LOVE WHAT GOD LOVES and He loves two primary things, HIS BRIDE (the church) and HIS LOST PEOPLE. Although we have been praying for the lost, they have not been responding as much as could be, because we have not loved the Bride (each different expression of the body of Christ) as we should.

Some current examples of bring the body together would be:

Spring Clean - Gathering Sonoma County churches to dedicate a day to cleaning the streets, creeks, railroad tracks and neighborhoods for the sake of loving the city and serving together.

Graffiti Abatement Program - (developing)

Gang Task Force - (developing)

Kid's Day Festivals - Takes place in a public park in order to bless kids with fun, education and information for families.

HOPE - (God's Word)

The word Hope, in the old and new testament, refers to truth, the word of God. That is what Hope is. Hope in the scriptures is not a wishing type of Hope, but is a confidence and grounding in the word of God. Trusting in the truths that God has laid out in His word and in creation. Once we are grounded in the truth, our faith will be stirred and we will begin to pray for great things and then step out into those things. Hope births confidence which births action/serving in love.

Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit would increase our hunger for the word of truth and that we would increase discipleship. For example, we are beginning the process of developing access for a center for Biblical studies and training where there will be extensive training's and classes available via satellite and local church venues.
