Welcome to City Reach Prayer for the
month of June. If you are not aware of this, the first
Friday of every month for the last six years now, we
have been meeting as the united body of Christ in prayer
and intercession for God’s purposes here in Santa
Rosa and throughout Sonoma County. City Reach Prayer
is not something just about Santa Rosa, but is about
the county and ultimately will impact the nations.
Tonight I am reminded of Spring Clean
a little bit. We might see the video from Spring Clean
a little bit later, because if you remember, at Spring
Clean we were all wearing yellow shirts and as you look
around tonight, the yellow has become blue. If you are
from Santa Rosa, you are probably looking around saying,
“wow, there are a lot of young people here at
City Reach Prayer that I don’t recognize.”
Those people are the Master’s Commission. They
are here from Washington on a tour of ministry and we
are really blessed to have them here with us tonight.
They are going to help lead us forward in our worship
and prayer tonight. First they are going to help lead
us forward in worship, and so I am going to say an opening
prayer for us and then welcome them to begin.
Father, we are grateful to be here.
Tonight we have come to earnestly seek your face in
prayer and intercession. Lord, we are so grateful for
who you are. Lord, we came here as those who have personally
tasted of the goodness of the Lord. Father, we are not
satisfied with just what we have tasted, but we want
this geographical area to reflect your heart and your
purposes and we want others to taste and see that the
Lord is good. We are here as those who would stand in
the gap for your purposes, your people and for this
place that your glory would be expressed here. Lord,
we pray that you would do something tonight of significance.
Father, may we not just have a prayer
meeting, but may we shoot arrows of intercession into
your heart for this place. May we release your kingdom
purposes Lord God. Father, we are asking that you would
stir our faith, that you would stir our spirits to pursue
what you have this evening. We welcome your presence
and now lead us forward by your spirit we pray, in Jesus
name, Amen.
(Worship with the Master’s Commission)
There is only one God! There is only
one God in the Universe and His name is Jesus and we
are here to proclaim it tonight, Amen!
We are very excited to be here tonight.
We are from The Master’s Commission, which is
a one year commitment for young people from ages 18
- 30 yrs old. They stop their life. They are not dating,
they are not going to school and don’t get jobs.
It is a year sanctified and set apart for the Lord and
make themselves available for the Holy Spirit to work
in their lives and He does. Amazing changes do take
place, but I will tell you what I am really excited
about tonight, and that is what is going on here. I
was telling Sam earlier that we do a fair amount of
traveling around the country to a lot of different churches
and areas and things.
To
see what is happening here with all of these churches
coming together all over the county, Santa Rosa or wherever
they are from, I am just so excited about that, because
when the body of Christ comes together, things really
happen. When there is unity across denomination lines
and geographical areas, that’s when places are
transformed. I am sure that you have seen some of the
transformation video’s, that was the thing that
was happening there. It was the body of Christ coming
together.
Man, that is so awesome and it gives
me faith and builds my faith that it can happen where
we are from in Washington and all over the place. When
it happens, we are going to see our nation transformed.
Lord bless you for what you are doing and for coming
together to pray like this. So, we would just like to
help facilitate that by leading worship and doing a
couple of dances for you that, hopefully will help propel
us into prayer and intercession for our area.
The first things that we would like
to do is called, “Here is our King.” Many
of our young lady’s are in this dance and we are
just proclaiming the goodness of God. The Bible encourages
us to come to the Lord as little children. Jesus said
that unless you change and become like little children,
you can’t see the kingdom of God, but when we
do have that faith as a child and see God as our Father,
the kingdom of God comes alive. That is what this dance
is proclaiming.
(Young Master’s Commission
Drum Players)
We
want to be men being all that God is calling us to be.
When it comes to prayer groups, a lot of times it is
women who are leading the way and that is awesome. We
have incredible women of God that are leading the charge
in prayer, but listen to what 1 Timothy 2:8 says, it
says, “I want men everywhere to lift up Holy hands
in prayer without anger or disputing.” I will
tell you that a lot of times us men, the theologians
or whatever, we want to dispute and talk about stuff,
you know what I am saying? God is saying, “I don’t
want you to talk about stuff, unless it is talking to
me or speaking to your enemy and unless it is bringing
the kingdom of God to earth and in prayer. We as men
are called to take back the voices that we have lost
and we are called to declare that our God is a mighty
fortress.
(Adam Peacock)
Are you ready to pray?
We have just seen men and women of
the younger generation using their gifts to bring glory
to God. My heart is for my generation. I identify with
this younger generation and I want to see God save those
in my generation. I really want to see that, but what
we saw tonight was not just the fruit of salvation,
it was the fruit of redemption. It wasn’t just
us in our filthy trash and God saying, “ok, I
am going to decide to keep it anyway's.” It was
God reaching into lives after grabbing a hold and saving
us, and bringing forth those purposes, gifts, talents
and destiny’s in bringing them forth to shine
His glory through them. What we are seeing is a God
of redemption demonstrated before us. We are in the
midst of a time, especially in this region, where the
statistics are showing that we are not doing well in
reaching our generation.
This past Wednesday at Pastor’s
Prayer Fellowship, Pastor R.C. Carillo from Giving Tree
church that meets here in this building as well, was
sharing from a statistical standpoint the progressive
decline in Bible believing Christians from a George
Barna survey based on generations, that we went from
45% in our parents generation to now being 5% or less.
I want to tell you that if that is on a national standpoint,
then we are especially bad here in northern California.
Many of you may be familiar with a
ministry titled, Teen Mania Ministries with Ron Lewis.
This year they decided to declare war on the things
that are warring against this generation, and so they
set up what is called, Battle Cry events. They came
to this region and met in San Francisco and held one
of these Battle Cry events. The next day in the newspaper,
our wonderful, accepting, tolerant San Francisco city
counsel declared that this type of ministry that was
reaching young people was not welcome in our area. There
is a battle for this generation and it is not just to
see them saved. We will not see God’s purposes
for this geographical area if we don’t see a move
of God in the emerging generation and the things that
He has placed in them for His purposes and work in this
area brought forth in a redemptive way.
Tonight, we want to take some time
and begin to pray into God not only saving, but beginning
to redeem and call forth His purposes in this generation.
It says in the scripture that where sin abounds, grace
abounds all the more. It says that where darkness is,
light can shine all the brighter and we want to pray
into a breakthrough of light into this generation. I
want to lead us in prayer into three particular areas
for us to break into our small groups and pray about.
The first that we want to pray into,
is for healing and a move of God in the family unit
for this next generation. It says in Malachi chapter
4, that God wants to turn the hearts of the fathers
to the sons and the sons to the fathers, and it says
at the end of that, that if it doesn’t happen,
“Lest I strike the land with a curse.” I
believe that when that does happen that blessing is
released. As we look at this generation full of tremendous,
breakdown and pain, that there needs to be turning of
hearts and a healing that only God can do. In the hearts
of these young people who have had tremendous pain through
their family at a fundamental level.
We want to pray for God not only to
reach in and save those families, but bring redemption
into the situation. Right now what I would like us to
do is to take the next few minutes and pray into a move
of God into the family lives of this next generation.
That God would do something between the parents and
children and children and parents. In a few moments
I will call us back together and we are going to declare
God’s purposes into another area of consideration.
Pray into God restoring hearts and healing family.
(Prayer)
Lord, we are not believing for an isolated
move in a generation, Lord God. We are believing that
you do a connected work between generations. Lord, that
you would not do something in a corner, but that you
would something right in the heart of what you have
been doing and what you are doing in one generation
would connect to the next, Father. Lord, just like in
a relay, that the baton would not be found in the bushes,
but it can be passed from one generation to the next
so that the next can run faster and more effectively.
Lord, that you would get the glory
from the compounding blessings from one generation to
the next. So Father, we are not asking you for an isolated
work, but for a connected work, that your purposes would
run from generation to generation. We want to begin
to see a spiritual inheritance laid up for children's
children, Lord God. A generational wealth of your kingdom
purposes. Lord, connect these generations we pray.
(Adam Peacock)
I want us to now move to a more specific
time of prayer into schools and to me this is very specifically
on my heart, because we are on this main strip here
on Mendocino Avenue and just a few blocks south of us
is the Santa Rosa Junior College. A block beyond the
J.C. is the High School. Santa Rosa Junior College has
roughly 30,000 students, they are not all of this generation,
but that is a lot and the body of Christ is incredibly
under represented there. The groups that are there are
struggling to keep things going and I believe that that
should not be.
There was a time, this man right here
named Rich Sundall will tell you, where God did something
incredible on the Santa Rosa Junior College campus.
In fact, that group was one of the most significant
groups in all of the student affairs and events. He
was saying that you couldn't even get elected on the
student government counsel if you didn't have some kind
of relationship or endorsement from the Christian group
there, because of the influence and because of what
God was doing on the campus at that time. I do not want
just to hear a father in our midst talk about that,
I want to hear my sons talk about that. I want to hear
my brothers talk about that. I want to see God begin
to do that, and just past the J.C. is Santa Rosa High
School. For years I have worked with ministry there.
Many of you from this community have heard of Free To
Be, which goes and teaches abstinence education and
basically Christian values, and they have been the most
closed school.
Analy and Santa Rosa High School were
the most closed schools to that happening. They were
aggressively against those values and teachings happening,
and those are pictures of the fact that in this area
there is a push to keep Christ out. We want to see Christ
welcomed in, so I want to intercede together, to stand
in the gap, not just for the youth, but for those schools
as well. We want to begin to invite God's purpose, His
presence and his move into our campuses. That our youth
would not only be connected with Christ in their homes,
but that they would actually find Christ in their school.
We would not only want to pray into
our public schools, but also to strengthen our Christian
high schools, grammar schools and our home school networks
here, that God would move through education and that
He would train up a generation that would pursue His
purposes. So, let's take some time now and pray into
this move of God into our campuses and into our schools.
(Prayer)
Tonight we proclaim, that education
and the education system is something that should bring
you glory. We are asking that it would bring you glory
in this place, Father. We are mindful that our young
people spend the majority of their time at school, so
Lord we are praying that they wouldn't be separate from
you, but that schools would be places where they come
to the knowledge of you. Father, that the pure pressure
that is taking place there would not be a pressure to
run away from you, but a pressure to run into you Lord
God. Into you Lord with their gifts and into you with
their curiosities, problems and insecurities.
That You would be the source of their
knowledge. We are praying Lord, that all across this
county as schools are wrapping up the year, we are praying
for a radical miracle to take place over the next couple
of weeks and month. Lord, we are praying that the schools
in the school year would not be recognizable this next
year. That there would be such a difference in what
takes place here in 2006 in sonoma county in our schools,
that literally teachers, administrators and parents
would say, "What has happened to our schools? What
is going on with our kids?" We are proclaiming
a release Lord, and we are proclaiming a renewal and
a revival on our campuses Lord God. In Jesus name we
pray, Amen.
(Adam Peacock)
We are going to pray into one last
area for this section of our prayer. I believe that
God delights in this redemptive process and I believe
that He has placed within this emerging generation,
amazing gifts, ministries, callings and anointing that
are going to blow our minds. I am so excited and believe
that one of the things that God is doing right now in
this church, is that He is opening our eyes afresh to
see that He has placed a mission and an ministry in
the life of every believer.
Right now, one of the things that is
going on in our community, is church leaders and business
leaders who are all kingdom leaders under Christ, are
beginning to come together and recognizing that ministry
in the marketplace and the ministries out in the community
are every bit as vital to the kingdom of God as the
ministries inside the four walls of the church.
There is a group that is emerging called
HINGE. The vision of that group is a vision of leaders
who want to be those who the purposes of God could swing
upon and to be those who could help open doors of opportunity
for ministry to the broader body of Christ. As I think
about that vision, I think about this generation coming
up and my desire to have each and every one of them,
have their unique and creative gifts, anointing and
callings from God, known by them at age 15 and not wait
until they're 55 years old.
I want to take a moment to pray for
a release of vision and understanding of calling and
a development of gifting in this next generation. The
things that God has put in them will come forth at a
young age and the lanes that He has called them to run
in would be clear, so that they could run and bring
forth all of the life that He has for them and for us
through them. Let's pray for that.
(Prayer)
Thank you Father for what is being
released in the heavenly's and for what you are going
to do in the lives of our youth's and young people.
God, give them courage and strength to move forward
in power from on high, to see great and mighty things
accomplished for your glory and for your honor, Amen.
(Sam Tillery)
We are going to shift gears here for
a moment. You guys just stirred in me that battle cry
for prayer. City Reach Prayer has been doing this now
for 6 years, the first Friday of every month, gathering
and praying. Typically, the first part of prayer, we
pray for the city and the things of that nature and
then we kind of switch and we pray for the host ministry
or ministries, so we are going to do that in a moment.
First, I have a personal request for
you. The latter part of last year, my daughter was here,
she is 22 and my son in 25 years old. My son goes to
school in Santa Barbara and my daughter goes to school
at the university of Hawaii on the Hilo campus, on the
big island. She has a real burden to pray and to see
God move into Hilo. It is a fairly large Hawaiian community
that she lives in and she came to the pastor's prayer
fellowship on a Wednesday and we commissioned her and
prayed for her that God would begin a ministry of prayer
and intercession on her campus that was not taking place,
and so she went as a spiritual soldier to begin to pray
for the University campus.
No one was praying! She began to go
around to the pastor's in town and asked them if they
were praying together, well, they said no. She began
to invite them to her home to watch the transformation
videos and said, "This could happen here if we
would pray together." Some began to come and catch
the vision, and then things began to fizzle out. She
kept gathering to pray. A black gal began to join her
in prayer walking around the campus, praying that God
would open doors.
Shortly thereafter, students began
to come to these two young ladies for prayer, non-Christians
and Christians alike. God began to move and shortly
after that, I believe my daughter came under spiritual
attack and since then she has been suffering. Doctor's
cannot figure out what is wrong with her. She has on-going
pain and it is enough to debilitate her. She would have
a hard time stepping off of this little platform that
is here now. She has had to quit her job as a nurses
aid and barely made it through this semester with school.
All of the tests that she has had, have shown some things
that are not quite right with her, but they can't make
out as to why she is constantly in this pain. Her dad,
myself as a pastor involved with a prayer movement here
uniting the body, she goes over there in a realm that
wants it to stay in darkness.
I just returned from Israel, where
there were some 51 of us from sonoma and Marin county
and we went to experience God together. Not one denomination,
but many. You see, here in this town and county, we
are one church. Many congregations united in Christ.
As we gathered over there and were experiencing the
Lord together, God prompted me to do this. Two days
before, early in the morning, He said, "when you
get to Capernaum, pray for God's healing for those on
the trip and pray for Marlene, my daughter." When
we got there, I was kind of anxious, and I shared with
the body that was there what was going on with my daughter.
My heart's been heavy over this on-going
struggle for months and months and months. If you any
of you know my daughter, she is up and alive and excited
for Christ, but she called me crying saying, "Dad,
I just can't get away from this pain. I know that God
is going to heal me." So, we prayed that God would
heal Marlene. For us it was in the middle of the day,
but for here it was 2 o'clock in the morning, but I
got her on the phone and I said, "We are going
to pray for you.
We are standing in Capernaum where
Jesus lived. We are under some trees and bushes."
I began to pass my cell phone around and people were
speaking God's healing into her life. I was looking
forward to calling her the next day and everybody on
the bus was wondering how she was doing, because we
were so sure that God was going to heal her physically,
and He didn't. When I called her the next morning she
said, "Dad, I have not changed physically, but
my spirit has been empowered. God did a healing in my
spirit and I want to embrace what God has for me, even
in this hardship.
It is hard as a dad and a parent to
see your child who has been playing soccer, playing
in the ocean and doing all of these active things, all
of a sudden not able to do these things. Her boyfriend
has to carry her out of the water if she goes swimming,
because she cannot step up and out onto the shore, and
I am not there. She said, "Dad, God is working.
I am physically in pain, but spiritually renewed."
I am going to ask you tonight, that one of your generation
is standing almost alone in Hilo praying for her generation,
and I believe that the enemy has come in.
Whatever weaknesses that are in her
body, are trying to keep her from standing up and calling
her generation to pray. Things were starting to happen,
so will you pray for Marlene. It's not always about
God physically healing us, but that His purposes will
prevail and that his power would flow. It's not that
I wouldn't like to see her healed, but not until God
has accomplished in her heart and maybe ours. So, God
used us in Israel to bring about a spiritual empowering
and perhaps God may use you, her generation, to bring
physical healing to her body tonight. So, let's take
a moment to pray.
(Prayer)
Thank-you for these who are partnering
to lift Marlene up to you Lord. She loves you so much
Lord. We receive that which you have released tonight
and we bless you. In the name that is above every name,
we give you thanks. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
(Sam Tillery)
I am going to ask you to do one more
thing, is that afterwards, it would be kind of cool
if you could get her cell phone # from me. You could
maybe give her a call over the next few days and tell
her that you do not know her, but that you met her dad
and that you prayed for her. Then, I want you to ask
her to pray for you, because you will be blessed. God
had announced her in prayer, so it will go two ways
and that is how we grow in relationship.
Those of you who are wearing these
blue shirts, on your left back shoulder, your shirt
says, "He knows your name." Now, think about
it, if God knows our name, why is it that we in the
body of Christ do not know each others name? As we know
those who are in our family or as we know those who
like to worship exactly the same way that we do, yet
is it not true that God knows all of our names?
That means that He is embracing those
weird ones, those odd people, those who are different
from us. Is that not true? He is embracing them. I have
come to realize, that one of the ways that I can know
more of who God is, is when I can embrace all aspects
of the body of Christ. When I don't, I am not preferring
others as the scripture says. I am not loving the bride
of Christ, and she is beautiful and she is diverse.
She is different, and so, that is what
I want us to take a few moments and pray about. God,
show us how to know the name. You know what I am talking
about. It may not be the physical name, but more the
heart. Pray for those right here in this community,
those churches and ministries that only know like kind
in the faith. Take a moment with those around you and
ask God to somehow break whatever has kept us from walking
across the street.
(Prayer)
(Sam Tillery)
Hebrews 10:21-23, watch this now, this is really good.
and since we have a great high priest
who rules over God's people, let us go right into the
presence of God with true hearts fully trusting Him.
For our evil conscience having been sprinkled with Christ's
blood to make us clean and our bodies have been washed
with pure water. Without wavering, let us hold tightly
to hope that we say we have, for God can be trusted
to keep His promises. Is that not true? So, when we
pray, we release. It is an expression of faith. It goes
on in verse 24, now this verse sets us up for this short
video that I am about to show you of something that
just recently happened, verse 24 says, Think of ways
to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good
deeds.
(Video of Spring Clean)
(Sam Tillery)
God is stirring in our midst and we
can be thankful for that. As a larger group, let's give
short expressions of thanks for what God is done in
bringing the body together and then that God would protect
what He has already done as we continue to march through
the land and continue overcoming evil with good.
(Prayers of thanks and over coming evil with
good)
(Sam Tillery)
Before we transition, just to let you
know, just to continue to pray as a large number of
you will continue to move on, because you have invested
in some sweat and prayer here. You were here a few years
ago and you have come back. We are glad to have you
here, but you are now going on, but we are just going
to move into the land in different ways. we've got some
of your heart and we trust that you've got some of our
heart.
Coming up in August of course we have
City Kids Festival where we bless the families and children
in the city. Over 5,000 will be blessed. Last year somewhere
around 300 came to know Christ at that one event. After
that in September, we endeavored to unite the body and
the tradesmen to bless the Jewish Free Health Clinic
, the only one of it's kind in the nation here in Cotati,
with a building. We are going to build it and finance
it, so here is what you have. Talk about reconciliation
and restoration, you have Christians blessing the Jews,
who primarily serve the Hispanic community. Isn't that
a great story. So, that is what is happening in September.
Just this last week, several of us
where at Yosemite and I spent some time with the chief
of a Miwok tribe that are part of the original inhabitants
of Yosemite. Some four million people from around the
world every year. We met together endeavoring to take
some steps in how do we reconcile and take some steps
to honor the Native American Indians in our community,
and so that is another area that you can be praying
into. We are not just talking about it or saying that
we are sorry, but actually walk in ways which I do not
have time to talk about right now, but those are some
of the areas in which you can be praying.
Spiritual warfare is not chasing after
the Devil, the Bible never teaches you to do that, that
is real dangerous. It says to stand firm when the enemy
comes against you, but where we are to advance in, where
we are to displace, crowd out the works of the enemy
by doing works of kindness, expressing the love of Christ
and that displaces and crowds him out. So, let's be
in prayer for that. We are going to shift gears now
and pray for our host ministry, City Life Fellowship
and Giving Tree Assembly of God, now that in itself
is a start. You have two different churches in the same
building, sharing the facility, having a little different
distinct ministry, but they are partnering together.
We are going to hear from pastor Adam in ways that we
can pray for this specific ministry for the churches
in this facility.
(Adam Peacock)
I've got a handout for you, but before
I talk about that, I know that those from the Master's
commission would appreciate prayers not just for the
tour ministry, but tomorrow they are going to continue
what we started at Spring Clean. We will be at Morland
Avenue with the Sheriff's department, working to bring
a Spring Clean event to that area. If you know that's
one of the streets that we have had the most problems
with crime, gang activity and a lot of poverty. We are
going to go in and do like what you just saw on the
video. Things like planting trees, community garden
type things, picking up garbage, cleaning up graffiti
and having a barbeque with the people there. We even
got permission for them to perform some of their gospel
presentations, so continue to be praying for us as we
continue that work that was started on April 29th.
I want to read a verse for you out
of Genesis 12:1-3. One of my favorite Bible commentator,
Baxter, said that he divides the Bible between Genesis
chapters 1-11 and Genesis 12 - Revelations 22, because
he said that Genesis 1-11 is about creation and the
fall, and from Genesis 12 on it is the story of redemption.
It starts here in Genesis chapter twelve.
The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave
your country, your people and your father's household
and go to the land I will show you. I will make you
a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your
name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless
those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
I am struck that in the very foundation
of the story of redemption, that God said that he wanted
to bring redemption by bringing it to and through families.
City Life Fellowship and Giving Tree church are partnering
together right now for 50 days, where we are trying
to take these verses from Genesis chapter 12 and to
lay a hold of that promise and to continue that redemptive
story through our united efforts to reach the families
here in Santa Rosa and Sonoma County.
What we have given you is not just
something to guide your prayers here tonight, but something
that you can keep and remember us in prayer for the
next 30days. I would ask you if you would pray with
us into this 50 day endeavor that we have started, called
the family 50. It started on Mother's Day and will go
until July 2, which is the Sunday right before the 4th
of July, and that time frame marks four significant
family holidays; Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's
Day and the 4th of July. We felt like this was a key
time in the yearly calendar to go after families. Our
purposes are clearly stated here:
-
50 days to celebrate the gift
of family. Family is God's idea and it is supposed
to be a gift and a place where His redemptive purposes
are furthered.
-
To educate regarding God's purpose
and design for family.
-
To strengthen the families of
City Life Fellowship and Giving Tree Church.
-
To connect families with Christ
and His church.
There are many ways that we are hoping
to do this, there are many, but it is through specific
events that are targeted to reach and connect with families
and with some ministries that we are launching to serve
families. We are in the midst of a city wide art contest
right now.
We got permission to give these art
contest flyers to every kindergarten through 6th grade
student in the public school system. We sent out roughly
5,000 of them into our city schools and we have others
that we are handing out in our community, including
at the downtown market on June 14th. This past Wednesday,
the Master's commission was down there and it was great
to see the little kids coloring in the memories and
things that they liked about their families and we are
hoping that this will be a good way to connect with
them. We are inviting them to come on June 16 for a
welcome summer family festival, where our Mayor will
be here, we will be doing the drawings from our art
contest and we will be trying to serve and minister
in tangible and meaningful ways to families in our community.
There is a weekly play group for mom's
and young children that has been started.
On June 8th, the Celebrate Recovery
ministry that was birthed out of Rick Warren's Saddleback
church, is going to start here every Thursday to help
people get past their hurts, hang-ups and habits. We
are believing for significant ministry to families through
that.
June 24th, we will be hosting a half
day seminar for Parenting with Confidence. We are opening
up to families in our community teaching with Biblical
principals into family.
A Father-Daughter Dance on June 30th
Finally, as a follow up as we are hoping
to connect with these families and support them, is
in August we are starting Young Families Support and
Study group.
So, you can see that we are really
putting a lot of effort into reaching families right
now out of united work from these two churches. On the
hand out you can see a list of 5 prayer requests:
1. For a move of God in the families
of our congregations.
2. For continued favor with our community (especially
civil government and business)
3. For families in our community to be drawn to the
events and ministries and for them to have meaningful
connections as they participate.
4. For the effective launching of Celebrate Recovery
next week.
5. For men, women, and children to come into a relationship
with Christ and His church through the Family 50.
We want to see this be an up-reach.
Not just reaching out to other families, but our own
families reaching up to see God's purposes at a deeper
level.
We believe that relationship is one
of the single most important factors in someone coming
into a relationship with Christ, is a positive relationship
with someone who is a Christian, who can show them the
love of Christ in meaningful and practical ways.
Since we are coming to the end of our
time, I am going to ask you to take these with you and
keep them in mind, but before you do leave I would like
if we could as a group pray for this endeavor. Pastor
Sam, if you could come up and lead us in that.

Ok, we are going to break our group
up into four sections and each one will pray for #1
and one other. So, #1 & 2, 1 &3, 1&4, and
1&5.
(Prayer)
Father, we are anxious to see what
you are going to do here at City Life Fellowship and
Giving Tree Assembly of God. We thank you for their
cooperation, participation and partnership in the Gospel
here in this place. Continue to bless them with all
of the resources they need, with leadership, inspiration
and direction. Lord, as they seek to bless the families
of this community, draw families into this place that
they might find you and glorify you.
Thank you Lord for pastor R.C. and
the leadership team at the Giving Tree. Give them direction
that they need for the decisions that are coming before
them in the coming days. Father, also for pastor Adam
and his leadership team. Empower them with wisdom, insight
and discernment as they move forward to proclaim your
name. Thank you for this time that we have had together
tonight.
Encourage us Lord this next week as
we take this prayer sheet and take it before you each
day. Father, stir our minds and prompt us to remember
to pull this out and pray into these two incredible
ministries. We would ask Lord, that while here in sonoma
county, that you would bless the Master's Commission,
that it would grow. That your purposes would be released
in each individuals personal life and corporately in
new and fresh ways. Use them to change lives. We give
you thanks for them and for their leadership. In Christ's
name we pray, Amen.

We've been praying that God would open
the door for Windsor. That pastor's would get together
from Windsor and join with us and that is happening.
Last week I met with a group of about 10 pastors who
called up and asked if I could share with them a little
bit about what God is doing, because they wanted to
connect with Santa Rosa and with the broader scope of
things. We went up there, shared the vision with them,
they got all fired up, then the next week they came
up Wednesday and said that they want to connect. So,
probably, we do not have the exact location and confirmation
yet, but for the first time, City Reach Prayer will
go up to Windsor in August. Look at the web site for
where the next City Reach Prayer meeting will be @ www.unitedprayer.org.
My daughter Marlene's # for those of
you who wish to call her is (808) 756-1907. You will
be a blessing to her and she will be a blessing to you.
If you want to see her, I have a picture of her in my
wallet.
